I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and inspected the guitar. I cannot find a flaw or blemish anywhere. The fit and finish is superb. The frets are very nice, no sharp ends, polished well. I love the neck, the flamed maple neck is great. The only thing I have done to the guitar is lower the action a little. but it was perfectly playable right out of the box other than a quick tuning. This instrument is worth every penny of the price I paid and then some. Keep up the good work. I'll probably be buying another one after awhile.

Hi John,

Thank you for your feedback!
All of our guitars go through quality inspection and setup by our technicians before shipping.
Appreciate your support!

Although I haven't gotten to play it much. It seems like a solid guitar. My only complaint is (and it's a small one) the white tip tremolo arm doesn't look right with the mirrored pickguard and chrome hardware... But aside from that, seems like a great guitar...Thanks go out to Richard (The Bald Shredder) James for his YT review....That's why I picked one up....

Amazing value

Really nice guitar. The value proposition here is excellent. I had a 40% coupon so this was $252 new, and got a flame veneer body with binding, gloss finish and satin on the neck, locking tuners, stainless steel frets, TUSQ nut, truss rod access at the bottom of the neck, two point (Babicz) tremolo. The laurel neck is pretty unique in appearance. The satin finish on the back of the neck is pretty opaque but I can see a little bit of the roasted flamed maple. Came with a fairly heavy duty cable and a change of strings. The humbucker chugs nicely through a 5150. There is a small amount of uneven centering on the high frets for me but no dead notes or sharp frets, action was good. I am going to change out the single coils for hot rails but that is just personal preference.

Incredible

You guys really know how to build a great guitar! Tuned it up straight out of the box! I am very pleased.

After noticing a Tostar STS-500 ST Deluxe review last week on youtube, then reading the specs online and watching more videos, I had to try one myself. The shipping was very quick and the packaging was very good. The Emerald Green flame top is mesmerizing along with the tiger striped roasted maple neck. The stainless frets are polished with the smoothest ends this old man has ever seen on a new guitar and they shine like chrome. The mother of pearl dots in the fretboard and mother of pearl volume and tone knob ends put a classy look on the guitar. Tuned the guitar and plugged it into my little MKII 100 Boss Katana @ 5 watt setting and played Turn to Stone by Joe Walsh. This guitar played very well out of the box and that is rare. The playability and quality of this guitar rivals very expensive Axes in my collection. Going to take the strings off, treat the fretboard and put a set of coated 9's on it, adjust the action, neck, and pups a teeny tiny bit to my taste and enjoy this very beautiful high-quality affordable guitar. Man, I have a Tostar 12 string acoustic with the rounded body ordered and hoping for the same High Quality and playability. I have vintage guitars and amps going back to the 60's. A headstock doesn't have to have martin gibson or fender on it nowadays, that golden era is long gone. Asian luthiers are kicking out some very high-quality guitars with quality wood and hardware now and they are showing their skills and craftsmanship at Tostar

Great looking fit and finish with a setup that sounds good right out of the box after a very light tuning. All the features of a high end guitar without the added expense. Affordable to the average Joe and perfect for all skill levels.

Customer

I got this guitar not sure of what to expect. This is a great guitar and is replacing my main gigging guitar that’s I’ve had for 15 years. It stays in tune very well and I use the tremolo a lot. The neck is very comfortable. The locking tuners makes string change very quick and easy. My only complaint is with the Grey body guitar the neck dots are too dark for me to see (my solution was to buy stickers to cover the dots). For the price you can’t go wrong. Well done Tostar thanks for making a great product at a great price.

Awesome guitar!!!

Seriously awesome for what this is!!! Graphtech nut, Babicz bridge, and stainless steel frets!!! The finish isngreat as well! I also swapped out the ceramic pole pieces in the single coils for alnico V and put my own humbucker in it, and it’s perfect!!! The only reason I’m giving this four stars is I did have to do a little fret work to it because it had some high spots. I’ve been a tech for years, so this was no big deal and was expected for a Chinese instrument. So if you don’t have the specific tools or experience, it may be a gamble.

Great workmanship !

I am a beginner guitarist. There was something that caught my eye when I saw this . Most guitars have 3 , sometimes 4 rows of pickup coils This one has 5 pickup coils . What that means is that you get a more overall selection of pickup coils that give a more complete sound. The workmanship is great.
