I bought this strat clone for my 13yo daughter. The sound from it is excellent at this price point. It does need some minor setup, but nothing crazy. Frets are smooth, action is acceptable, and the finish on the body is smooth. The neck is not too thick and the weight seems balanced. The supplied cable was dead on arrival, so i did need to replace that with a good quality cable, but that is not a deal breaker. The gig bag is cheap, but the capo is nice. The tuner is just okay. The spare strings and the ones shipped on the guitar are average at best, but not the worst. The stand is cheap, but not terrible. The practice amp works as good as you could want. The included strap is ugly, so we replaced that. I have no real complaints for this guitar at all. It’s everything a young aspiring musician could hope for and won’t break the bank in the inevitable event they manage to damage it. I don’t see any reason this guitar won’t last forever with proper care and use.

This guitar is surprising good in that it looks great, the finishing is really nice, the neck feels good, love the rounded fret ends, and actually stays in tune. Pick ups sound clean with no buzz or extra noise. Sound is decent, and would probably be better with a different set of strings on it. The stand actually looks pretty good too, and works well. Very stable. Amp sounds okay and is what you would expect for the size (i.e. no low end since the speakers are so small). Nice that they included the other acessories but they are lower end, especially compared to the guitar.

I think this is a better feeling and sounding guitar for less money than what you would get in a Squier at a higher price point. Perfect for beginners or someone on a budget.

UPDATE: Less than a year after purchase, the bridge pickups have failed. I contacted the seller and they sent me two new sets of pickups. I installed the bridge pickups. The guitar is now as good as new and sounds great.
First, about me: I picked up the guitar in 1964 inspired by The Beatles. Over the years I have of course owned and played many guitars, from cheapos to multi-thousand dollar models. My favorite guitar that I own is my first, my 1965 Gibson SG Special.
I must say I was very pleasantly shocked by the quality of this guitar. The first thing I noticed was that there is no "fret bloom," i.e. the frets do not stick out over the neck. I have guitars that are much more expensive and yet the frets and neck are not this nice.
But then again, this entire guitar is beautifully made. The switch and potentiometers seem sturdy. The set up was good as delivered. The finish is excellent; all my other guitars are gloss finish, this one is matte.
I plugged it into my 1965 Ampeg Reverberocket amp, and it sounded great. Again, I am just very happily surprised that a guitar at this price point is of such a high quality.
Now about the accessories: the little practice amp is fine, as is the tuner. Strings are fine. The gig bag is fine; of course you wouldn't want to put it in an airport luggage carousel. The strap and cable are lower quality, but adequate for practice.
Bottom line: I am extremely happy with this guitar. When I was a kid, a "low cost" guitar was really crummy, sounded bad and would fall apart quite quickly. This guitar is on a whole other level.

Oh man this is an amazing guitar for the money. The paint job is fantastic, the luminlay dots are really cool. The guitar came with perfect action and intonation. I am amazed with this guitar. I bought the Tele style, I should have bought one of each. These are an incredible bang for your buck.

I buy many budget guitars to see how good they start and then correct issues that they may have, plus, add any mods to make them even better that would make them comparable to guitars at much higher price points, in the non-budget range. This unusual Tostar brant was a good surprise. Really good bones as body and neck are concerned. With the usual setup and fret leveling work it is a good deal for any beginner and other players as well.

I was surprised by the quality of the amp. I live in an apartment and it has great volume. The drive works fine. The treble sound is very good and the medium sound is also good.

Still in relation to the amp, the only negative point is the bass sound because it practically doesn't exist. It's bad, but nothing that affects the final experience too much, considering the cost vs benefit.

Everything arrived correctly and well packaged.
